Biography

"Born and raised in South Langley, this BC native grew up with an active country lifestyle; everything from riding bikes, swimming, hiking, to riding horses. At the young age of 9, I started competing in horse shows. I joined BC's rodeo circuit & competed throughout my teens. It was at this young age that I fell in love with the rush of competition.

 

Fast forward to 2008, where I was discovered by Hawaiian Tropics and soon after held many titles in an assortment of bikini pageant organizations across Western Canada. The exposure of bikini pageants led me to land the coveted role of Coors Light Spokes Model, which I held for 2008. This career change led me from the small town country life to the big city of Vancouver, where I’ve been living, working & going to school ever since.

 

A year ago I was looking for a way to amp up my workouts so I started training with local fitness celebrity, WBFF Pro, Svetlana Romanova. Svetlana encouraged me to compete in an upcoming fitness show, always up for a challenge, I agreed. 6 weeks later I stepped on stage for the 1st time in a fitness competition, the WBFF BC Championships, where I placed 3rd. Ever since, I’ve been hooked!  An aspiring actor, model & now fitness competitor, I thrive in front of an audience. With my passion to compete coupled with my dedication to health and fitness, I hope to make a welcomed addition to the Magnum team." 

 

Goals:
I’m really excited about 2012, I’ve set some pretty high goals but I’m determined to achieve them. My goals for 2012 are to get my pro card with at the BC Championships this June, then compete at the Pro show in August, and at least make top 10. I would also like to finish my personal trainer’s course and start my career. I hope to get featured in more magazines & continue to promote myself, Magnum Nutraceuticals. Here is an example of my diet:
Meal 1 - Oats & egg whites & scoop Quattro chocolate love &
Meal 2 - 1/2 apple w/ almond butter
Meal 3 - 3oz chicken breast, quinoa (or yams), 1cup green peppers
Meal 4 - 4 oz fish, 1/2 apple
Meal 5 - 4oz fish, 2 cups spinach, 1/2cup pineapple
Meal 6 - Prawns, cucumbers, 10 cashews

Post workout - Magnum Quattro Chocolate Love
Min 4 liters water per day - the easiest part of being healthy & getting a great body is drinking lots of WATER!

 

Supplementation:
Magnum Loaded, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Vitamin E, Zinc, Magnum G and Omega 3
I also take Magnum Performance Greens, Magnum Quattro Chocolate Love & Magnum Serum
During contest prep I add Magnum DNA &Magnum Heat is great.

I try to eat as much whole fresh food as possible. For protein, I mostly stick with egg whites, fish & seafood and small amounts of chicken breast. When in contest prep I bump up the amount of chicken that I eat.  I don’t eat any red meat or dairy & I avoid wheat products. This helps keep me light, lean & healthy.

 

Training:
I like to switch up my workouts all the time, keep my body & muscles guessing! Here’s an example of what my training week can look like:
4 days weights, 5 days cardio
Day 1 - Legs, 1 hr cardio
Day 2 - Shoulders & Chest, 1 hr cardio
Day 3 - Back & Biceps, 1 hr cardio
Day 4 - total body circuit & Abs, 1 hr cardio
Day 5 - 1 hr cardio

 

 

My favorite day is legs! I like to mix it up, so I change between high rep/low weight and low rep/high weight. I do a lot of lunges, squats, hamstring curls on ball and bench step-ups. It’s good to keep your body guessing by changing up your routine, that what works best for me.
